Become A Wolf Trap Teaching Artist!
Are you a performing artist with a passion for teaching young children?
Apply now to train as a teaching artist in the San Antonio Wolf Trap method and complete paid teaching residencies in pre-K programs around San Antonio.
The Wolf Trap model uses performing arts to teach science and math concepts, build confidence and cultivate imagination in young children.
Wolf Trap teaching artists are placed in 16-session classroom residencies, which are held twice a week during the school day. Artists are required to attend a full week of paid training and complete two residencies within the first year.
Applicants must have at least three years of experience as a professional performing or teaching artist in the disciplines of music, dance, or drama including puppetry and storytelling, as well as experience working with young children.
The next training session for teaching artists will be held September 12 - 16, 2016.
