By integrating performing arts into early learning, our San Antonio Wolf Trap Early Learning Learning through the Arts residency partnerships in the classroom give Teachers the tools to help support a child's path toward Kindergarten readiness, promoting success in San Antonio Area Schools.
Through the Bexar County Arts Internship Program college students gain confidence to apply their academic experience in the workforce, with a local non-profit arts organization. This grant program provides 10 non-profit arts organizations with the a grant to pay to hire a summer intern for 10 weeks. The interns are selected by the non-profits with the necessary qualified skills to complete an important project that otherwise might go undone.

"Students with an education rich in arts have better grade point averages, score better on standardized tests in reading and math, and have lower drop-out rates -- findings that cut across all socio-economic categories. The arts can 'level the playing field' for youngsters from disadvantaged circumstances."
